Our district is sending four elementary math teachers to one conference this spring. Most math ed conferences I see seem very research-heavy.
Looking for something with practical, classroom-ready sessions. Is NCTM the right choice or are there better options?

NCTM's annual meeting is very practitioner-friendly. Lots of hands-on workshops and grade-band strands. Check whether there's a regional conference closer to you too — cheaper and just as practical.
Seconding the regional option. We sent a team to a regional one last year and they came back with more usable material than from the big national meeting.
If any of them teach with a lot of technology, FETC also has a surprising number of math-specific sessions.
